A modern, stealthy rendition to the very first Zenith Defy silhouette from 1969, the Defy Revival Shadow, creatively blends the historic model’s heritage with a contemporary accent through dark tones and muted textures. Crafted in titanium, a metal lauded for its light weight and impressive durability, the highly angular case with its fourteen-sided bezel is entirely microblasted for a matte finish. The case is a dark grey tone of titanium with an instantly recognizable caase. A first for Zenith is the iconic “ladder” bracelet which was originally conceived by the famed Gay Freres company for the brand in 1969.ÂÂ
Unlike the rest of its Defy counterparts with their vibrant dial colors and striking gradient effects, the Defy Revival Shadow’s dial is matte black with a distinctly vintage look. The hands are filled with a cream-colored Super-LumiNova pigment. It’s housed in a 37mm case.ÂÂ
The automatic Elite 670 manufacture movement operates this watch, and the movement is visible through the sapphire display back. The display back does not compromise the case’s impressive water resistance of 300 meters. The watch operates with a power reserve of 50 hours.ÂÂ
The Defy Revival Shadow demostrates how the historical Defy’s uncanny form was far ahead of its time- a fact that’s as relevant today as it was in 1969.ÂÂ
